I love Minocqua Winter Park and have been coming here every year for about a decade. Over the course of my life, I’ve skied at many destinations across the US, Canada, and Europe. In terms of terrain, friendly staff, and overall infrastructure, MWP is at the top of my list. There is, however, one area with significant room for improvement: grooming. To be specific, I will describe skiing conditions at MWP and ABR trails (Ironwood) over the past few days, based on my firsthand experience and their grooming reports. Day 1 (12/28/2025). A major snowstorm hits the area. Both locations receive about 18 inches of fresh snow. Day 2. MWP (firsthand experience): Some interior trails are freshly rolled. The surface feels somewhat soft and would benefit from another pass. ABR: All 85 km of trai
Superb! Good clean fun indeed. The Hill was perfect packed powder today. 👌 The tube "carpet" (soft packed powder) tow is the Cadillac of towing tubes❣
Best xc skiing in Wisconsin! Huge meticulously groomed trail system. Great ski shop. Also winter biking, skijoring, snowshoeing, skating, and tubing. Summer activities too. Large chalet. Pulk rentals. Ski races.
I have never been to Minocqua before. Beautiful area!! My husband and I went Oct. 2022, and the tree colors were peaking, it was gorgeous 🥰! I live in Wisconsin,so I see this every year, but every location has it's own beauty! Minocqua/Winter Park was awesome. Is like to return one day 😎
Fall 2023 Checkout the new and improved bike trail! Takes you to the top of Squirrel Hill for great vistas and then after a few switchbacks you are back in the parking lot Aug 2024 Played frisbee golf on the new course and it was fabulous for the entire family
