The point

This is one of the most magical places I've stayed! I was almost deterred by the person that gave this 2 stars. Maybe they were in the lower unit, or just grumpy? (Also, we should all be thankful that our beaches are public and not privatized!) We stayed in the east upper unit and our experience couldn't have been better. So many high end thoughtful amenities. The place is so good, so perfect, that even though we were perfectly positioned to walk to everything port orford has to offer, we didn't want to leave the apartment. We brought our food back to enjoy every minute of the views. Highly recommend for a winter stay since its so warm and cozy with heated bed, fireplace, flooring, even heated toilets. Photos and description deceptive. The rooms face the ocean and purport to be on a private bluff. It is anything but private. It is designated a scenic hiking trail so you literally have people walking and laying chairs with drinks, food and sleeping bags right in front of your room. Lack of privacy and openness to strangers very disconcerting. And the owner is dismissive of his deception. Blames you for not being open to having someone pull out a sleeping bag and set up camp right in front of your room. Beautiful views, if only you could see them past the strangers congregating in front of your bed. So essentially, you won’t get the views because you have to keep the curtains closed.

Deceptive photos and description. Oceanfront bluff on which it sits is open to the public so common to have people bring chairs, even sleeping bag, and hang out right in front of your room. So you have to keep curtains closed for privacy-which makes having views worthless. Also disconcerting and uncomfortable to have strangers walking right in front of your bed.
