The room had one outlet. The shower and bathroom is shared with other rooms. Our room had creepy wooden doll. The wifi worked for us. Close to the painted hills and a nice place to eat just down a way.
Relaxing night in historic hotel. Easy to check in and out. Friendly staff. Clean, comfy queen bed. Wood plank walls and ceiling. Rooms along one side of hallway all have sink. One has genuine bear skin rug! Bathroom or shower down the hall is easy to access. Ladies toilet is a bit cramped on your knees, but you won't be there long, right? Great value and experience!
Not a lot of lodging options in the area, so you hope for the best lol. This place definitely has old world charm, from the creaky stairs to the creaky beds to the ladies toilet you can sit and wash your hands from. We had the queen room with bunk beds. Not a whole lot of room to move around, but thankfully we were just there to sleep. Fortunately we had the top floor mostly to ourselves which was nice as it was a shared bathroom situation. If you are a big or tall woman, using the ladies toilet is very difficult as your knees hit the pipe under the sink while on the toilet. I opted to use the mens room instead. Our bed sagged in the middle, but that could have been because it fell off one side of the frame or wasn't properly put together, not entirely sure. Their continental breakfast is
I recently stayed at The Oregon Hotel in the charming small town of Mitchell, Oregon, and it was a truly pleasant experience. The hotel itself has a rustic, old-fashioned charm that perfectly complements the quiet, small-town vibe. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and cozy, making it a great place to relax after exploring the nearby Painted Hills or other natural attractions.
Things are often "in the eye of the beholder" aren't they.|The Oregon Hotel, Mitchell will by some be regarded as quaint, old fashioned, charming, of a bygone era.... |For others it will be decrepid, dark, barely welcoming,....|Room 3, upstairs, 2 nights - had it's own bathroom with bath but no shower. Sink had a goodly supply of rust. Hot water was hot, eventually. The bath took ages to fill, but the hot water didn't run out. Towels fine. Toiletries - 4 sachets of shampoo.|Bed was comfortable enough, though bedding, sheets etc somewhat old fashioned.|Electrics took some sorting. Didn't realise that the brown cable was an extension lead for the bedside lights, and couldn't be bothered (or willing 🤔) to crawl under bed to connect the furthest light.|And the lights themselves! I thought thos
