The Oakwood Inn

I am giving t h is motel 5 stars. I am a truckdriver and this place was much nicer than the usual ones I get to stay in. Staff was nice and I appreciate the key pad check in. The only thing I wasn't happy with was my own fault. There is no smoking on the entire property and they charged me even though I smoked outside. That is not on them I should have read the reservation better. I was informed that I could walk across the street to smoke. Even then the lady on the phone was courteous and explained it. But all in all is a wonderful stay

Positive: Great price for a clean quiet room for my short stay. Negative: Limited parking and steep stairs to second floor. Still needs some weather stripping around door.

Very clean rooms and easy check in process. Comfortable bed and pillows. Enjoyed the stay. Will return when in the area. Extra towels and such were a great addition! So nice that rooms came with a microwave and smaller scale frig, not a mini frig.

Bed was a bit too firm for my wife. Price was good. Location ok. Contacted in advance with the code to get into our room. Code worked first time.

Very nice and comfortable clean updated. Strongly recommend lil mom & pop place over chain over priced hotel anytime. Very fast online check in process. The downfall was I travel with my 5 # service dog and I drive cross country for work, after a long 12 hour drive Í left him in the room to go sit down and eat and this place hit my credit card for additional $100. He doesn’t bark so I’m 100% sure they entered my room to see him claimed he was an imposition to other guests?!? Do NOT recommend if you have pets, service or not. And not to mention, you would not even know my dog has been there unless he left a kernel of food on the floor!!!
