Comfort Inn & Suites Sterling

Checked in around 9pm without issues. Felt safe my entire stay. Rooms are a bit dirty but probably the best in the area. (There were not bugs). The price is a bit on the high side for the condition of the hotel. Overall it’s not bad for a quick stop.

So I had rented a room for two nights at this hotel, the employees were very nice but when we first arrived and checked in we were given room 305. Went up and tried to unlock the door to enter our room and couldn't get into room, the latch was pushed over door, as someone else was in there. When we went back down to tell her, she was unsure of what was happening, her system showed, no one was in the room... 1st issue, I would have been super upset if that was me on the inside of the door and someone was trying to get into my room. ( Definitely not safe ) Then we got another room, 205 she went up to make sure it was clean before giving it to us, she gave it to us and when entering this room, 1st thing I noticed was the big hole in wall behind the door, I took a photo so I made sure I wouldn

The pool and hot tub were under renovation and that information was not communicated to us on check in or on the website. Elevator was broken the entire time we were there but fortunately we were only on the second floor. Front desk did state it should be fixed on Monday but it was still broken when we left on Wednesday. Wifi would not work and when I spoke with the front desk she said it wasn't working for her but did not say whether she was going to call any one or did not communicate it was fixed. Room was clean and breakfast was good, just poor communication from staff.

We were driving home from a cross country camping trip and had a blow-out that resulted in totaling our camper. We needed a place to stay and this was the closest hotel. We’ve been here several days, not knowing when we’d get insurance to sign off so we could go home and call it officially totaled. The manager Geoff went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible! The prices fluctuate a lot, which surprised me for the area but I guess there’s a lot of through traffic. We chose this hotel because the ad says it has a pool and hot tub as stay was with my 2 young granddaughters. I had mom pack bathing suits and purchased $80 in pool toys and had them so exited to swim. Upon checking in I was told the pool and hot tub were closed because they couldn’t get the chemicals right. For 3 days?!? We were offered to go to another hotels pool but we had to drive to it and it’s not heated and didn’t have a hot tub. There wasn’t even a stopper in the rooms bath tub so they couldn’t even take a bath. I was forced to go purchase MORE toys and entertainment. My granddaughter loves an elevator and that went out of service while we were here and my room key stopped working. We had the furthest room from the front desk so we had to walk all the way back down the stairs and
