The Oakhurst Inn at Yosemite

Stayed here Feb 13–15 for a Yosemite hiking trip. Clean rooms and a good breakfast. The staff really stood out. I accidentally left my Kindle behind, and Renee went above and beyond to find it, carefully pack it, and ship it back to me. I was genuinely touched and very grateful. Highly recommend and would happily stay here again.

Great location; needs renovation / facelift; decent breakfast; OK value overall! The Good - The location of the hotel is great; 30 minutes and you are at the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias! The room was good size with a table and 2 chairs. Scope for improvements - The breakfast was decent; but could be better with more eating options. The room and property is kind of old and needs a facelift and some good renovations. The rooms could certainly use new carpets and a newer look (paint, frames etc.). We stayed on a Friday and Saturday. The costs to me were quite high relative to the value provided.

Told me that the pool and hotub were closed even though the weather was nice. There were many other hotels with outdoor pools that were open. They just didn't want to maintain their pool. I won't be coming back near fall, they don't have great service.

Went to Yosemite and decided to get a hotel close by last minute to take a shower and get some rest after a long day of hiking. Went with this one because of the reviews and man oh man was I disappointed. The guy who was checking me in was super nice showed me where to park but as soon as I got into my room there was an odd smell almost like the door or windows haven't been open in awhile. The shower had hair stuck/ coming out of the drain that could've been cleaned out, but I thought okay I can just wear rubber slides in the shower but as soon as I turned on the shower faucet random gunk started coming out with the water. That honestly made me really uncomfortable and rethink the shower. Random kids running up and down the stairs knocking on everyone's doors yelling up until midnight. I
