Oakhurst Lodge

We checked in late evening for one night. Receptionist was friendly. We had two queen beds on the ground floor which was handy for bringing in cases. No plug for the bath so showered our son. Basic but clean bathroom with big counter space. Also had a fridge, microwave, coffee machine and hair dryer. Good for one night on the way to Yosemite. We were offered breakfast free but didn't have time. We would stay here again.

Great spot if you’re heading to Yosemite! Rooms are clean, beds are really comfy, and the free breakfast is super good and filling. Totally recommend it. It’s exactly the kind of classic American motel you picture from the movies. Also, make sure to swing by the little town of Oakhurst it’s worth a visit!

I stayed here with my dog for two nights in May 2025 (Room 54) and really hoped it would be a peaceful, pet-friendly stop near Yosemite. It wasn’t.||There were raccoons going through the trash right outside our room, which kept my dog barking all night. I had to move the trash myself because no one was on-site to deal with it even though they advertise 24-hour reception. That’s just not okay when you’re traveling with a dog who needs to feel secure.||The room itself was also in bad shape and there was feces on the toilet when we arrived, the A/C didn’t work, the chair was stained, and the floor felt sticky. We requested housekeeping using the door sign, but no one ever came. I had to go to the front desk to get towels myself.||I tried to resolve this calmly and even followed up by email. I

Shower had obviously not been cleaned as there was the plastic protector from a disposal razor still in the shower and hair in the sink. Front desk was very friendly. Guests were disgusting. At breakfast a guy was sneezing, sniffling, blowing his nose and then touching multiple items in the food area with out washing his hands after blowing his nose.

I give it 5 stars because they are honest about what they offer. The rooms themselves are not overly nice but they have been updating them. The price and service though have been awesome. We just completed our second year in a row booking 11-12 rooms for a church youth trip. I appreciate all the help they provided in securing the rooms and making us feel welcome. It is nice to know when you call that someone act the front desk is happy to help instead of you being an inconvenience to their day. We are looking forward to next year.
