The Nest

We had a lovely stay at The Nest @ 188 and can’t thank the owner Jim enough for hospitality and being so helpful. An extra touch of having all our names, including our two Boston Terriers on the welcoming sign as we pulled up was super sweet! We have rented many vacation rentals in Eureka over the years and this one was by far the most “Eureka Springs” of them all. Very artsy and cozy. The location is good if you don’t want to be in the thick of it and only a short drive from downtown. The place itself offered an awesome dining table we enjoyed sharing meals and games over. The highlight for me was a custom built coffee bar with teas and coffee, including a variety of natural non-sugar sweeteners, coffee pods for K brewer, coffee beans, a grinder, and a coffee pot, along with a great v

We drove ten hours to get here. The road up to this place, being on the mountain sides, was very rough for almost two hours. Drive 10-15 mph especially if the roads are wet. No speeding! I saw several areas that looked like chunks of the woods were taken out by sleepy drivers. Be careful!|||| Even though we showed up at 2:30am, the owner was happy to greet us and gave us a tour before we settled in. I was delighted by all the decor and felt at home right away. The kitchen has dishes and coffee and creamer. They even had a cheesecake and a bottle of wine in the fridge for us! I have never encountered such hospitality any place I've stayed before unless it was family. Spent the weekend there for our annual girls weekend. The place is absolutely beautiful. The decor was unique. Everywhere you turned, there was something nifty, quirky, or beautiful. It is an isolated get away so if you do not want to travel to eat, bring food because there is a full kitchen. Price was great. The only Off thing is there were no instructions on where certain items were or how to operate the fireplace & credit card (bank card) was charged early without notice (we had paid 1/2 up front and other 1/2 wasn't supposed to be charged until we arrived). This cause some financial bind on the end of the person whose credit card (bank card) was charged.

Amazing place! Beautiful views! Beautiful cottage! Amazing owner! Will definitely go back!
