The Mount Battie Inn

My wife and I recently stayed at The Mount Battie Inn and were very pleased. We were met by the owners when we checked in and found “special Ed” very friendly and welcoming. His wife was making Banana bread which she told us we would be receiving in the morning. Our room was very clean and we felt the pricing was fair. We found the location convenient as we were planning to spend time in Belfast as well as Camden. It is also located near the Cellardoor Winery which is a must do while in the area. We highly recommend this stay and we will be back again 😁.

We have stayed here numerous times over the years for a number of reasons. They are special inn keepers who enjoy treating their guests in the best manner possible by providing possibilities for entertainment, dining, touring, and the most scrumptious homemade baked goodies, great for evening or breakfast. Christine and Ed live on the premises, are available and ready to handle any emergencies while offering a safe and beautiful refuge with their comfortable rooms, their porches, and their outside amenities. Sitting outside your door on your covered porch, above, and a distance from, the road overlooking beautiful Penobscot Bay is a both relaxing and inspiring. Location is perfect for a short jaunt to Lincolnville where we enjoyed McLaughlin's Lobster Pound for excellent food and good pric

Booked a stay here for the second year in a row. Owners, Christine and Ed definitely make you feel very welcomed to the point of taking the time upon check in to list things to see and do in the area. This Inn definitely gives you the bed and breakfast experience to the point of delivering homemade muffins, brownies and slices of bread to your room to go with the tea and coffee, (maker), provided. Rooms are very clean and comfy. The grounds are beautifully maintained. Love the view of the bay we saw from the chairs outside our room. This place may not be "high end" as some folks noted but it's definitely a Great place to stay. We highly recommend Mount Battie Inn!

One Star is Too Generous – A Nightmare Stay at Mount Battie Inn If you’re considering a stay at Mount Battie Inn, don’t. Just… don’t. Smells Like a Cellar The moment I opened the door to my room, I was hit with a wall of musty, moldy air. It smelled like a forgotten basement — damp, stale, and suffocating. No amount of open windows or desperate candle burning could chase it away. If you're sensitive to mold or have a functioning nose, steer clear. Spiders – Lots of Them Spiders. Everywhere. Recently traveling with family on vacation up the New England coast. Found this beautiful inn in a picturesque setting. My room had a great view of the bay. Owners focused on comfort and cleanliness. Also got a treat of warm banana bread and muffin delivered to our doors at 7pm!
