Suites by the Sea

My partner and I had the privilege of spending the winter season in one of these lovely suites. Though we were just waiting out the winter, the location is great for anyone who is visiting the area during the summer season. Located between Belfast and Camden right on the main route, it provides easy access to all that this area has to offer! Not to mention the only local sand beach is right across the street. There are restaurants in walking distance and if you’re feeling adventurous for a small fee you can take the ferry that’s across the street and experience the island life. It’s a short drive to numerous hiking trails, stunning harbors, and plenty of things to do. The owners are kind, and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone hoping to stay in the area.

Last minute "need to get away" weekend. Found Suites by the Sea and couldn't have asked for anything better! The location was perfect. We love the Ocean and sitting on the balcony watching the sun rise (with morning coffee of course), was just perfect. Then off to Belfast for the day. Made the most of the full kitchen, just had to supply our own food ! What a money saver. Across the street were a couple of very good restaurants too. Next day we ventured out into the other direction to Camden... just a short drive away ... the veiws from the top of Mt. Battie - WOW!!! We will be back ! Stayed at Suites by the sea in the Ocean view room for four nights in June of 2022. Communication with the properties manager Linda was superb! She answers all questions with great detail and quick response time! Very impressed with her. The suite itself is extremely clean , neat and has everything you’ll need for your stay. Plus an extremely comfortable mattress and a beautiful view of Penobscot bay! The location is ideal.. Very convenient for exploring the Penobscot Bay Area. Camden and Belfast a few miles in each direction. If your staying in the area to hike Camden hills state park is less than a five minute drive. Lincolnville beach is directly across the street and there are three restaurants within walking distance. That’s the good… the bad is the road noise… it’s deafening. We b

If you are someone who could stare at the ocean all day long, then this is your place. We stayed in the Captains Quarters and it was perfect. My husband is an above knee amputee, and the 'stair chair' made it easy maneuvering the 2 flights. Once in the suite, the open floor plan made it easy for him to get around - even at night with his wheelchair. Love the screened in porches in front and back. You may think you'd prefer open but nice to be able to sit there in evenings and not be eaten alive. Although right on rt1, night time is quiet for sleeping. The owners are very helpful and have provided everything you'd need. Lastly, the decor is so 'beachy' - such a great escape.

Quiet little town, if you're looking for a quiet little get away this is the place. The accommodations are perfect. The room is immaculate and so smartly put together, This is my first trip to this area of Maine and when we come back I'll look no further than Suites by the Sea.
