The Molly Pitcher Inn

Believe the 1 star reviews! I was on business and my company provided this hotel room. We were snowed in for breakfast and the staff was over whelmed at serving 10-15 tables. They were not rushed. The host had his finger in the rim of the water pitcher he was bringing to fill water glasses. Food was served cold. My food was taken from me without asking if I was finished eating. The waitress Sue (Susan G), was rude and spoke disrespectful to my colleague. Laughed at them and asked “what is your problem” when he explained she was rude she said he was “talking too much” all because he didn’t appreciate her yelling across the dining room the table and she was annoyed at having to split the checks. I asked her to walk away and that made her irate. She condescending wished us “a great day” and c

The Molly is a staple when I visit the area. I have family that live near by and I stay often. We especially like the summer months to take advantage of the pool area which is comfortable and clean. The Christmas decorations and vibe during that season is very pretty and nostalgic. The staff is for the most part friendly. The upstairs rooms are a little small but comfortable. The downstairs room are bigger but not as quaint and the air conditioning system is a little noisy. The proximity to downtown Red Bank is within a great walking/Uber distance. The bar area has a nice vibe with a piano player at night. I definitely recommend this property.

I come to the area for business about once every quarter. I love staying at The Molly Pitcher. It’s got a funky little vibe and a very friendly staff. Admittedly, the standard double rooms are very small. However, the kings are quite nice and have plenty of room. The restaurant and bar are great for a hotel, and dozens of other great restaurants are within easy walking distance. The views are great from the dining room and rear deck and pool. I recently had a snafu with our company’s travel agency where they sent the booking for the wrong room type. The staff was very accommodating and worked with me to make it right. The supervisor, Jeff, was very helpful and made sure my rates would still reflect the rates of the booking. I thought it was going to be a hassle, but he made it easy-peasy!

Positive: The location was very convenient to the Count Basie Center, restaurants, and stores. Negative: The room was very small and the configuration awkward. The location near the elevator and ice machine, as well as a very noisy heater and bright lights in the room made it uncomfortable. There was little hot water and not much water pressure. No coffee.

Another wonderful stay at the Molly Pitcher Inn. We had a delicious meal in the bar restaurant and also the dining room. The rooms were very comfortable with beautiful view of the Navesink river. The staff is very respectful and kind and excellent customer service. We experienced this from the people who opened the doors, to the front desk to register, to the servers in the bar room and dining room, the housekeeping staff. I felt they treat you like you are their own family! Just loved the whole experience.
