The McKinley Inn

This is a fusion of historic and modern vibes. It was a delightful weekend stay for my family. Hence, I loved and appreciated the large yard for the kids. The inside is quite spacious, is comfy, visually nice, has 4 nice suites, and is close to food and bars. The McKinley Inn’s kitchen and bar…loved that. Lots of fun to be had in that main social area. After visiting, I believe this place is incredibly suited for events. I’ll be back. Last, the hosts/management were easy to communicate and coordinate with…just excellent. Thank you! 5 stars earned.

I had an amazing stay at The McKinley Inn! The location is perfect—close enough to easily explore the area yet tucked away, making it feel private and peaceful. The rooms were spotless, well-decorated, and incredibly comfortable, with every detail thoughtfully planned for a cozy and welcoming experience. From check-in to check-out, everything was seamless. I highly recommend The McKinley Inn to anyone visiting the area—can't wait to stay here again!

A turn-of-the-century hotel and bar in downtown Elgin, converted into a comfortable and modern venue, still with original touches here and there. We really enjoyed our stay here.

This house is amazing it feels very homey and relaxing. The decor is the best part its well design when I'm there it feels like my own home. Really recommend!

I loved staying here with my family. It was an awesome family reunion. The rooms were comfortable, and it has great hangout areas.
