The Mason Boutique Hotel

This beautifully decorated, hundred-year-old hotel offers a charming stay with a spotless, refreshingly cool room and an exceptionally comfortable (albeit very high) bed. While the historic building features characterful creaky floors, it provides modern conveniences like a microwave, K-Cup machine, and a lobby stocked with complimentary snacks, yogurt, and drinks. The stay is entirely self-service via door codes, and while the central main-street location is convenient, it does result in significant noise; the hotel provides earplugs and masks, though bringing your own ensures a better fit. A few minor upgrades, such as an in-room fridge, more bathroom hooks, and a cleaning for the lovely patio’s sofa cushions, would perfect the experience. The Grand Ballroom was the perfect venue for our celebration. The space is beautiful and Heather was so welcoming & wonderful to work with. She made sure we had everything we needed the entire process & was so quick to answer any questions we had while planning our event. She provided the most beautiful floral arrangement from her gift shop located downstairs, Southern Traditions, which is a must see itself! |Downtown Louisville is blessed to have such a gorgeous hotel and venue. It will be always be our first choice for future events and/or stays!

This place is a true gem, beautiful room, comfortable mattress, convenient location. Love the coffee bar and breakfast pastries. I'm so happy to have a clean, comfortable and nice place to stay when I visit my dad in Louisville. The only complaint is it's located right next to the traffic light which runs through town and so the noise from the trucks is very loud starting very very early in the morning, I'm an early bird so it didn’t bother me personally but if you like to sleep in then you definitely need to bring ear plugs but I will definitely be back. The hotel itself is really well designed. The room we had, the Fair Suite ( it’s a room, not a suite ), is light, bright, a good size, with big windows. It also directly opens onto the breakfast, seating area. A comfortable, soft bed.There is a small outside patio, which is tucked away and delightful.|The breakfast was poor. Only muffins, cake, juice, yoghurts; no cereal, toast, or significant fruit.|There is no temperature control in the room, it is set for the whole building. Noise was a significant problem…an early warning was the provision of earplugs… The noise from heavy trucks at the crossroads where the hotel sits was pretty bad, throughout the night. Very different kind of hotel. We stayed there for my sister's funeral we were the only ones besides my son in the hotel. Beautiful place to stay and reasonably priced. Spacious rooms that take you back in time.
