The Lodge at Keen Lake

My wife and I stayed for a weekend at the lodge to get away for a quiet weekend. We could not be happier with the location, room, and friendliness of the staff. The area was delightful with a surprising variety of cozy restaurants, and unsurprising bounty of nature sights. The owners are wonderful to chat with and own a very nice store in the nearby town - which you get a discount at for staying at the lodge! I couldn't have asked for a better weekend to reset and recharge after a busy few months.

We stayed at the Lodge at Keen Lake over Labor Day weekend. My friends and I were looking to stay in rooms next to each other and Joyce and Dean graciously accommodated us. My husband and I stayed with our son in the smaller unit while my friend and her family stayed in the larger unit. The units are lovely and well appointed. The bed seemed to be a high quality memory foam and was very comfortable. We very much enjoyed our stay!

Attended a wedding and stayed two nights. Cabins were amazingly clean and well cared for. Inside was amazing. Everything was well cared for and maintained. The lodge itself was great. We were able to hang out on the deck or go inside. Gives off Maine cabin vibes. A great place to have a wedding and stay.

The lodge accommodations are like condos or villas. We stayed in the large unit. The space would be great for a family or 2 couples traveling together. It was exceptionally clean and well appointed. The furnishings were nicely done. The unit had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Unlike a lot of places at which I've stayed, The Lodge at Keen Lake had a plethora of lighting, outlets, and storage. The kitchen and bath were updated. The owner was absolutely lovely and resourceful. She has a store in a nearby town that I would have loved to have visited but unfortunately the timing did not work out well. If ever I find myself in the area, I'd be happy to stay there again.

Great time, owners are super nice and friendly. Rooms are very nice. Make sure to check out WallFlowers in Hinsdale 7 miles away. Great for gifts and many home decor ideas. It is owned by same people that own lodge.
