The Lodge at Flat Rock

I booked this 3 night stay for a solo mountain getaway and wasn’t really sure where this property was exactly, but the pictures looked nice and the rates were great. As I approached the Lodge I realized it was very close to the interstate…however…when I walked in to the open wooden doors…I was BLOWN AWAY! The interior of the lobby immediately lured me in as I stepped into the Lodge and I was greeted immediately by Scott and staff! It became abundantly clear they wanted me to have the best experience and stay possible. Not only is the lobby appointed in classic Lodge style, with leather furnishings, dark wood appointments and a grand fireplace, but arriving at the room (which they upgraded without me asking) it was equally week appointed and outfitted with many of the comforts of home. Would definitely stay again!! Such a cute and cozy hotel, nothing like the big Monopolized ones that don’t care about the little things. This hotel caught all of them and more!! I felt so cozy and at home and welcome! The staff was so friendly and everything just felt so accommodating, to the water and snacks in the room to the welcome letter to the breakfast and wonderful check out. I wish I could’ve stayed!! Also the hotel gave me a sense of nostalgia for the 2000’s when everything was ok and hotels were still good to their guests! Will be coming back when I am in the area and highly recommend!

This past weekend will be my family‘s fifth year staying at The Lodge. We go each year during December for a Christmas trip. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel and the staff. It meets all of the basic needs in a hotel room. Clean, very comfortable, well maintained and stocked. The breakfast buffet is delicious and offers a great variety of both warm and contential options. They always have tea, hot chocolate&coffee available in the lobby through out the day. The pool area is small but clean, warm and stocked with towels and my kids love it. The outdoor sitting area is great and offers a fire pit and chairs. They also have a lovely fire place in the lobby. If you go during the Christmas season, they will have it decked out and it will feel like a Hallmark movie. It’s so cozy.

Amazing place right off the highway. Nice heated pool was enjoyable after a day of travel. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. They haven’t been updated in a while but ours was spacious and clean. There were complimentary snacks in our room and the front desk girl was incredibly friendly and nice. Breakfast is included and they had lots of options. Would def return.

We had a wonderful experience here this weekend. We were looking for a quiet and peaceful stay in the mountains and that was exactly what we got. The staff, specifically Taylor and Scott, were incredibly friendly and helpful for both needs related to our stay as well as things to do in the area. The rooms were cozy and comfortable and the outside fire pits were lovely, even in the freezing cold. Thank you so much for the lovely experience.
