Lakemont Cottages

So cute!! Really cant say much for the communal amenities like the laundry, grills, and fire pits mentioned bc it was snowing and very cold so we didn't explore much. But just driving through all of the cottages are so clean and well maintained and the signage is very clear and easy to understand. Views are gorgeous and the staff came over with no hassle to help us with the batteries in our rental. They also came and cleaned the ice off of our walkway and salted it without us even asking! Great experience and I will def be coming back in the summer!

Booked the cabin on a whim for an anniversary getaway. Was not sure what to expect, but wanted to be in nature. This place blew our expectations away! Before our arrival, the host, Diana, had reached out to us and made us feel welcomed already! We arrived a couple hours early to check-in and she was so accommodating. ||||We stayed in Serendipity and the cabin is cute with a vintage feel. It was cleaned and stocked with fresh linen, towels and necessities to get us through the weekend. Our first night the host held a fire down by the lake where we were able to meet other guests. Everyone was so friendly! ||||LGBTQ friendly and dog friendly! We brought our puppy and she was able to swim in the lake. Plenty of dog friendly restaurants in the area. Stayed for 2 nights during the Apple Festival and this was a great place to come back to and enjoy the quiet and woodsy feel in this cottage away from the frantic festival pace. We rented the Charmin View and it does have a great view of the upper lake and the ducks living there. It's clean with a well stocked full kitchen, comfortable bed, plenty of linens and would be easy to stay longer. Sure beats those awful motel rooms!

If you are looking for a vacation cottage that feels "away from it all" but is super convenient to Hendersonville and Asheville, this is it! Our cottage was very well stocked and as clean as can be. Although the furnishings and décor are outdated, nothing was worn out. Bed had great mattress and a generous starter supply of paper goods were more than adequate for our four-day stay. The property is kept meticulously with good lighting at night and covered parking. Although there is no pool or hot tub available, there are trails to walk and benches provided for relaxation. The daily rate is fantastic and if you want maid service, they can add it.

At first we checked in and all was well. We noticed fleas jumping on our legs so we notified management. They were responsive and took care of the problem. Although it took about a week to do so. The other guests and I were all stuffed up and sneezing in the night. I asked management to dust so they brought a vacuum in and vacuumed. That of course did not settle the problem. I respectfully requested them again to DUST and again they vacuumed. It was time to re-pay for the remainder of the stay and I called to inquire about the long hairs of dust down the curtains, lamp shades blinds and baseboards and management requested that we part ways that very day!
