The Lakeshore Inn

Positive: location. Negative: Slightly over-priced.

It's the balcony over the water and the beautiful view looking west over the lake. It's the caring staff. Both combine to make this a very pleasant place to stay. If you prefer less-corporate vibe, but still well managed, this is a great place. Anthony, Jackie, and the rest of the staff, thank you for making my stay here very pleasant.

We’re locals who are staying here while our house is being remodeled. Best feature is downtown Lake Oswego location where many great restaurants and shops are easy walking distance. The other great feature is the waterfront view with homes, people and sunsets. Best to get a 4th floor unit for views and less neighbor noise. The negatives are the tired decor. Peeling exterior paint. Our two bedroom unit has a full kitchen but no dining table. The hotel was built on piling in 1964 and has settled here and there so there are gentle slopes to the floor. The staff is great and very accommodating. Parking is limited but there is a public parking lot close by.

We stayed at Lakeshore Inn while in the Portland area for a family wedding. The staff was friendly, competent, and accommodating. We had a few requests which were consistently met with a smile. Our room was clean and comfortable. I would have preferred more counter space in the bathroom but managed. The room coffee pot didn’t work but we usually got coffee from the lobby so no problem. The pool was heated and the poolside furniture was clean and comfortable, perfect to watch the paddle boarders on the lake, admire the ducks, and enjoy the sunset. The morning train was a bonus! Parking seemed tight but we were utilizing the handicapped placard so no issue for us. We look forward to our next visit.

We loved our stay here! The hospitality was amazing and the view of the lake from our balcony was really nice. The location was great too and we were able to take a walk on the edge of the lake and walk over to the taproom for dinner. Thank you for taking good care of our family!
