The Inn on Shore Road

We were here in May and we always enjoy our stays here. Abby, the innkeeper, is a big reason we keep coming back. She’s warm, welcoming, and makes us feel right at home. The Inn itself is beautifully designed inside, with so much charm and attention to detail. It is also very clean. Breakfast is always delicious, and the other innkeeper Lisa is also very kind. And both innkeepers are great cooks!||The only thing that keeps this from being 5 stars is the grounds. Under the previous owners, the flowers, lawn, and picket fence gave the property a cozy, homey feel that really stood out. While the inside of the Inn is still wonderful, the outside just doesn’t have the same care and character it once did.||That said, we will continue to return because of the hospitality, the comfort, and of cour

We've been staying at this Inn for many years and have always cherished its charm, peaceful atmosphere, and the beautifully maintained grounds that made sitting outside a real pleasure. It's been a place we've returned to time and again because it always felt like a special retreat. On our most recent visit, now under new ownership, we noticed that the once meticulously cared-for grounds have unfortunately deteriorated. The landscaping looked unkempt and lacked the natural beauty that used to be one of the Inn’s standout features. This is why I gave an overall rating of 4 stars. She continues to be a warm, welcoming presence who truly makes you feel like part of the family. What a wonderful find in Ogunquit. My husband and I only visit Ogunquit once a year in the fall and had not yet found a "go to" place. That all changed with our recent stay at the Inn on Shore Road. We actually ended up at the Inn by accident; we were staying at another property owned by the OGT Inns group, and were moved here after an issue with the other location. Upon walking in the door, the decor was beautiful and the charm was evident. You can easily tell that great care was taken to place each item throughout the common areas. Our room was on the top floor with a lovely street and water view. The room was small, cozy, and quirky in the best way. The bed was extremely comfortable and bath products were luxurious. Perfect location on Shore Rd. Our front facing room was very large and well-appointed with a large balcony. Big bathroom and very comfortable bed, beautiful decorations throughout the building. The welcome staff, (Sadly forgot her name) was incredibly friendly and welcoming. This is the perfect place for couples, just park and walk everywhere. Definitely will be back.
