The Inn At Middleton Place, LLC

This was our third stay at the inn and our second time celebrating New Year’s here, traveling all the way from California—and it never disappoints. We absolutely love this place. The oversized soaking tub is perfect for couples, and the in-room fireplaces add such a romantic, cozy touch. Time always seems to fly by. The property is wonderfully quiet, and the grounds are truly breathtaking. The on-site restaurant is exceptional, and the included breakfast is both abundant and delicious. We especially enjoy happy hour and playing board games by the fire. This inn is our idea of perfect happiness.

One of our favorite places to stay. Beautiful scenery and access to the plantation. Love the rooms with their floor to ceiling windows and fireplace. Food at the lake house and restaurant are delicious. Quiet outside of the city but close enough to be in the hustle and bustle within minutes.

We love the MCM architecture here and the views are lovely. Lucas was tending bar during happy hour and the nightcap hour, he was friendly and interesting to talk to. The gardens always provide a relaxing stroll in any season - be sure to find the nearly 1,000-year-old Middleton Oak and the 200-year-old camellia. Our only disappointment was with dinner - the menu was so limited, we didn't want grilled meat (my husband, a real grillmeister, provides that at home), hoping for some light seafood dish. He ordered shrimp and grits and it was a reasonable portion and pretty good. I had she crab soup - not the best crab, too strong, and honey sherry was added - just plain sherry would be MUCH better. I had a salad that was good, no desserts of interests. How about a classic creme brûlée? W

Stayed here with my husband and two year old from 10/19/25 till 10/21/25. The property is absolutely stunning, all the privacy, tranquility and nature you want. The inn does offer access to the Middleton place, which is convenient (withing the price). The hotel does offer a very good breakfast included in the price. The views are exceptional, with the access to the lake.They are offering a cheese/fruit plate from 5 to 7 p.m. (no cost). The restaurant on the property offers a various menu. I have been previously there approx 4 years ago, the star of the menu always has been the grits and shrimp, they used to be better, now is more of a soupy grits for $24.....The hotel itself is not properly equipped for kids safety as the locks are easily accessible and there is an additional chain abov

Location is excellent being next to middle place with direct walking access. Unfortunately the rooms show their age and lack of maintenance. We stayed with a two year old toddler and found the door to our room had a security chain but no receiver to lock it in. Very unsafe for a toddler that in the blink of an eye could open the door and run outside just feet away from a swampy pond We where told a new company bought the property and slowly making improvements but basic thinks like cleaning the paths are not done. Same for the beautiful patio terrace where breakfast is served, covered in leaves and unkept .Come on guys, you are not a Motel 6 and surely don't charge like one, will take 5 minutes for someone to swipe the area before breakfast time.
