The Inn Above Tide

I had one of the most incredible stay at The Inn Above Tide. After a long drive in from Tahoe, I was thrilled to hear they have a nightly wine and cheese reception. Brad checked me in and offered for me to enjoy wine and cheese in the sitting room off the lobby, or he could arrange to deliver it to my room (this sounded perfect and since I don't drink wine, they offered non alcohol options). I'm so delighted by this little touch and I haven't even seen my room yet. Brad hands me a key (yes, a real key, not the digital types that you have to go to the front desk to re-issue 3x over your stay) and I'm kindly escorted to my suite. Recently spent 2 nites here. Wow. Spectacular room and unbelievable view of San Francisco. Impeccable service. Free continental breakfast (can be brought to your room) and a whole bottle of.good wine in the afternoon with great local cheese. Called the desk for ice once and the guy was at the door almost before I put the phone down. You will not be disappointed!¡!!

What to say about my new "most romantic" getaway in California? I couldn't remember the last time I was in Sausalito and truly grateful I made the decision to celebrate another California adventure at this waterfront gem. ||After doing much research, I decided the lodging had to be as close to the water as possible. Situated on Richardson Bay, this 33-room luxury hotel was that dream come true. From the grand deck, our king room featured stellar views of downtown San Francisco, the Bay Bridge, Angel and Alcatraz islands. A gas fireplace also looked out on the views. The bathroom incuded a spa tub and shower. All the extras - soaps, shampoo, bath salts and more. The heated bathroom floor was a big plus! Perfection! Great modern rooms and bathrooms. Picture perfect views from private decks. Breakfast buffet offers delicious options. Afternoon wine and cheese is a nice touch. Walk to excellent restaurants, shops and bars. Valet parking. Five-star service and attention from entire staff. Easy ferry access to Fishermans Warf. Views of wildlife, city and bay from your deck. Can sit out there for hours. Comfortable beds and quiet sleep. Highly recommended.

Had a very nice two day stay, a short trip from my home in SF. Was exactly what I was expecting: a comfortable room, a great location, a great view. The hotel is a little minimal, there's no bar or restaurant or anything. But you've got all of Sausalito right there. And the services they do offer are very well done. Was particularly impressed by the quality of the complimentary wine. And the breakfast, terrific pastries. The folks running this place care about good hospitality.
