The Hotel Temecula

We plan on booking an event there so we wanted to sample the wines that will be served. We were not disappointed at all! While I am not one who likes Viongnier I really liked the one I tasted at Big Nose Winery. We liked all the reds we tried, Cabernet, Malbec, Tennat and more. The grapes are sourced around California but the wines are all made here. Delicious! The band that was playing while we were there, Wayward Hope, was also fun and engaging. Thank you, Roger and Janice, for making us feel so welcome. We look forward to going back again soon.

This is a historical treasure! The owner's Chris and Richard have done a true service saving, restoring and maintaining this hotel. Enjoy a tour complete with local history of Temecula. There is also a wine tasting flight /bottle of wine included. The beds are super comfortable! Bathrooms are down the hall- separate for women / men. |In the evening; enjoy a fire pit, s'mores and get cozy with blankets and the company of the hosts and other hotel guests. Such a great thing to connect with other people (not staring at their phones). |In the morning we collected eggs and fed the chickens. Then we enjoyed a homecooked breakfast. I actually cut fruit and conversed with another guest who whipped up eggs while the owners made bacon etc. It was so refreshing.|I highly recommend this if even just a

The Hotel Temecula is such a secret gift to Temecula’s past. It’s history is lovingly preserved by the owners Richard & Chris. Authentic. The rooms are beautifully appointed with individual air-conditioning and the best restful beds ever. Centrally located in the heart of the bustling downtown and close to wineries as well. You can feel the owners love of their town within the walls of the hotel and through the historical stories told by Richard. Coffee & breakfast included ending a relaxing stay in Temecula. The unique hotel has 10 rooms and 2 shared restrooms which makes it perfect for your family event, wedding, celebrations or small gathering. We will definitely return.

Thank you Chris and Richard for an amazing time we had on our 10th wedding anniversary. You have done a remarkable job preserving and restoring an 1800s hotel. We loved learning the hotel's history and seeing the original items on display. Thank you for educational indoor and outdoor tours. We loved the Hooker Room, enjoyed the Curry Wine tasting with Jen, loved Chris' homemade breakfast with free-range eggs from the hotel's chickens, and marveled at the unique museum-quality Hotel you preserved. We look forward to returning to the Hotel Temecula.

Neat old hotel that will definitely give you the atmosphere of Old Town Temecula. Loaded with period furniture and the stories that go with it. Rooms are small and you might have to share a restroom but you really get a taste of the wild west from the late 1800's in this gem. Right in the heart of Old Town Temecula but a half block off main (Front) street so it might be a little quieter. Back garden has more antiques and the owners are full of information. Back dining room is also full of history. A must stay for history buffs.
