The Hotel by Gold Dust

The location is perfect for anything on Main St. The staff is phenomenal. Ashley, at the front desk, was very personable, helpful and fun to chat with. The cleaning staff is very friendly as well. The rooms are a little small and the breakfast is minimal but the location, cleanliness and staff definitely make up for it!

We are teachers in our late 50s from Mass. We stayed in Deadwood for 2 nights on our way to Mt.Rushmore|The Hotel is in a great location one street removed from " historic " Deadwood. The hotel itself is in a old industrial building repourposed o|Into a hotel. The designers did a nice in creating the hotel. However as the building was not built to be a hotel there are a few limitations. The queen and king rooms are tiny( our super 8 hotel room was twice the size) but clean and thoughtfully laid out. But certainly not the kind of place you would want to spend a rainy afternoon. Furthermore being downtown you will hear some ambient street noise but nothing dramatic. There is no parking at the hotel but there is parking just a short walk away and most of Deadwood is walkable.|The staff wer

Location is perfect. Right downtown. Service wasn't bad. Rooms looked nice, but they are very small, the a/c wasn't very cold and it was fall and I had the thermostat as low as possible. I also didn't have a window. For what they normally ask for a night, I don't think I'd stay there. Also, the breakfast wasn't anything special. It wouldn't be my first choice to stay.

This hotel was a great little hotel right off Main Street in Deadwood. Easy to get to and from all the action. Bed was nice and firm for me, my room was reasonably spacious for the age of the building. The only thing I wasn't thrilled about is the free breakfast was lacking warm protein options.
