The Holladay House Inn

I booked five rooms for a party of six (all adults) to follow up a wine tour in the area. The inn is absolutely gorgeous, meticulously decorated in the style of the historic period, without any compromise to comfort. Nice little touches like chocolates in the room, or a robe and slippers, make a big difference. The owners are incredibly helpful and accommodating. There's not a ton to do in Orange but there are some great restaurants and attractions nearby. Absolutely worth every penny!

We were a group of 4 people, and we wanted to take our friends from Taiwan to learn about the real American culture. Of course, Virginia was our first choice. We had heard that there was such a legendary house in the town, and we were deeply attracted by this historical property. It was clean and spacious. Although it was a century-old house, it had very modern shower facilities. Living here was like traveling through time and space, back to a hundred years ago. It is located in the city center, and you can walk to the main commercial buildings, restaurants, art galleries, government agencies, etc. in the city. Lovely place to stay for my nephew's wedding. Pat was very accommodating to our needs. If I ever visited Orange, VA again, I would stay there again! Very well located in town - can walk to many shops and restaurants.

My mom and I had an absolutely fabulous time at the Holladay House Inn's "Low" tea! From the moment we stepped in, Pat showed us warmth and hospitality, seating us at our cozy table. Now, let's talk tea – the cranberry muffin green tea was an absolute showstopper! The food was great too. They source their desserts from a bakery in Charlottesville. The place is simply beautiful. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortably furnished, offering a relaxing atmosphere after a long day on the road. The common space is furnished in period furniture and provides a cozy ambiance reminiscent of a bygone era. Pat and Monica were absolutely wonderful and went above and beyond. Seriously. I had forgotten something in the room, and a couple days later Pat legitimately hand delivered it to me when he was in DC. If you're anywhere remotely in the area, this is the place to stay.
