The Hideout RV Park

Four stars because - no amenities, no picnic tables (at the time we were there), no trees, but that's as bad as it gets here! This place is actually quite peaceful and is comfortably outside of Balmorhea with only occasional highway noise to disturb the peace. If you get a spot in the back, you likely won't even hear that. The park is surrounded by crystal clear water canals and come straight out of the state park. Some have bass in them, but all have at least some fish. The state park is about a half-mile away which makes it very convenient for visiting the pool there. All in all it was nice staying here. If the dust in Pecos has you down, come here and enjoy being surrounded by the natural landscape!
