The Happy Hollow

Our stay here was ok! No complaints! It's very minimal. Great for people who don't foresee staying in the hotel room much. Room was clean but showing signs of aging, bathroom was very tight and the bathroom sink was the tiniest thing I had ever seen. Just enough to get the job done. Service was excellent. Location, also excellent. They are also dog friendly and right next to a trail and easily walkable to the historic hotel row.

This is such a great option in Hot Springs, especially if you have a dog. They do not charge a pet fee unless there us damage from your pet. We had a ground level room and had plenty of space to walk our dog so she could potty. This location is easily walkable to the historic area of town, which meant we saved money by not having to pay for parking. The staff I encountered were all very nice and eager to help. The room was good sized and very clean with non carpet floors, which I appreciated with our dog. We had a small kitchenette with a sink, dishes, microwave and fridge. Comfortable bed. My only complaint was how small the shower is (which is standard for the time period it was built). I like to let the shower run for a minute to warm up before I get in and this one was so small that

Happy Hollow is one of those places that really leans into the history of Hot Springs, and we enjoyed that. Our room was roomy, clean, and comfortable, with fun old photos on the walls — everything from Prohibition signs to classic Hot Springs scenes. It felt like staying in a little piece of the town’s past.|The location is excellent, tucked into a quiet spot but still an easy walk to restaurants and the historic district. Parking was simple and the whole stay was relaxed and easy.|If you appreciate a little nostalgia and don’t need modern hotel bells and whistles, Happy Hollow is a great fit.

Positive: The location is perfect for doing any park or downtown activity. I did not use my vehicle at all the entire stay. Walked to downtown, toured the park area, hiked and biked up the trails and roads. It was a great experience. Negative: The doors to the rooms could use a paint touchup, but otherwise the stay was excellent.

We loved the location of this motel. It is tucked back in a quiet corner, right near a usable spring but close enough to town to walk. It is right near an access road to Hot Springs National Park. It is also right near an old brick walkway that leads to Bathhouse row. The motel is older with a retro vibe. The owner is on site, but was not especially friendly or present during our 2 night stay. The room is very basic. It was "clean" but not deep clean. The tile shower was very very tight....if you are a larger person; good luck! It was nice that they left you a plastic bottle to bring home some mineral water. It was pretty quiet overall. We often saw folks sitting out in front of their unit; there is a little table and 2 chair in front of your room. It could have used some tissues. Overall
