The Hanford Hotel, an Ascend Collection Hotel

Was an amazing experience being downtown it felt like a movie scene walking around the area. The front desk was very nice they helped me with laundry quarters on the house when I just needed a few. Breakfast was great and they offered baggies to take togo if you’re in a hurry! Jess had great energy and made the social event a vibe! The only thing I disliked was the squeaky bed frame from the simplest touch.

After reading the reviews, I was looking forward to staying at this hotel. It did not disappoint. The rooms are updated nicely and are clean. The staff is very friendly. Don't let the train scare you away. Family staying on that side of the building said they didn't hear it during the night. The fresh-baked cookies are an added bonus. Would definitely stay here again.

Positive: Friendly staff, easy check-in, reasonable selection of free breakfast items. Room was not fancy, but functional and clean. Usual useful appliances: mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker. No extra blankets, but thermostat worked and kept us comfortable. Negative: Elevator wasn't functional. Not a problem for us, as we were mobile. Would have been a problem later, as my husband was in Hanford for foot surgery. Housekeeping staff had to carry wheeled baskets of linen up the stairs. Damaged door at bottom of stairs.

I stopped by here once when it was still Comfort Suites. The lady front desk agent was really nice. It was amusing that she offered me some beer they had on their counter which I somehow found it convenient lol. At least they offer better breakfast than the Best Western nearby

This place used to be a Comfort Inn. Evidently the property sold and is being updated. The entry is nice and clean, new feeling and looks inviting and somewhat modern. I had asked for handicap accessible room, which I did get on the ground floor. On my entry to the room, I was immediately impressed with the newness of it, however it was very cold in the room. The outside temp in Hanford was only in the 40s, so the room was cold, they had not anticipated that. I put the heater on full blast and the room did warm up after a while. Now for the functionality of the room, someone did not do their homework. The room is okay except that if there are 2 people, there is only 1 chair to sit in, the other person would have to use the bed, which has no back support unless your laying down. The only
