The Grand by Capital O Texarkana I-30

Check-in staff was very nice and friendly. Great service at the desk. She did explain the hotel was undergoing renovations so bearing that in mind……the room was okay. The main light switch by the door did not function. A/C worked great. The shade covered the whole window. The toilet had no water to it but after fiddling I got it on to flush however it ran on all night. The toilet seat was smaller than the actual toilet so that was a challenge. The large flat screen tv was enjoyable but couldn’t access the guide. The WiFi was not accessible. There was no blanket on the bed, I had to turn the ac up and put an additional layer on and use the decorative “table runner” to keep warm overnight. No coffee maker, hairdryer or any amenities outside of two bars of soap and a little tube of shampoo. I

If you love cold showers and less than secure rooms, this is the place for you. Our room had paper stuck in the peep hole as the peep hole was literally an open hole. The deadbolt was very rattly like it was barely in the frame. And forget any other lock or chain. Also lots of space around the door that someone in the know could have easily unlocked the door from the inside. No hot water in the sink or shower. Roaches noted in the room as well. Reservation system notes continental breakfast. That is a lie. Staff noted that the breakfast hasn't happened in over a year because "we are waiting on our juice machine to arrive." I booked through Trip.com. I went to check in. There was a sign that said call for assistance. I used the front desk phone and tried 4 times. The call would ring through but no one would speak then they would hang up. I went and got my phone from the car. Finally a woman ran in from outside saying they were overbooked by the “third party” and not to worry I wouldn’t be charged. The front desk area reeked if cigarette smoke and she smelled like beer.Before I went to sleep at another hotel they charged me as a no-show. I reported it to my card company who then cancelled my card.The place from the outside and lobby looked like a dump. I would never attempt to stay here again.

Pleasant stay, location is convenient at an intersection. The rooms were good due to recent renovations, front desk did help with all questions I had on the city. The room is decently cleaned. A bit of noise since it is on the intersection but overall a decent stay

Didn't get the room I reserved online so my husband and I have to sleep in separate beds. The bathroom was not cleaned and was told by housekeeping that this room wasn't on the list to be cleaned due to maintenance work having to be done in it. You have to request to have something besides a sheet on the bed. No phone in room to call front desk. Wifi only works in certain places. There is only 1 channel on the TV. If you're single and you want somewhere to just come in late at night and go to bed, then yea, this may be the place for you. But if you're looking for somewhere to kick back, relax, chill, and watch some TV to wind down, DO NOT come here.
