Studio City Suites, a Travelodge by Wyndham

Check-in desk clerk was pleasant, but more thorough training on processes may be warranted, or it's possible the owners need to develop more effective processes for their staff. Check-out desk clerk was superb: knowledgeable, professional, and amiable. Room clean. Wifi good. Comfortable bed and pillows. BUT the deal-breakers: Although the owners had invested significant funds for some attractive remodeling, this room was not ready for guests. No accessible outlet in the kitchenette at all. The only outlet in the sleeping/desk area was above the bed, so the desk had no accessible power outlets. The bedside table had no lamp (thus one would have to get out of bed and go to the door to turn the light on or off) and it was unstable because one leg was shorter than the others. This place is nothing but an old, run down Travelodge with a new coat of paint and a few upgrades. It definitely didn't reflect the Wyndham quality standard. chipped paint, construction defects, a DOUBLE bed rather than a standard queen size... although the headboard was a queen. The curtain on the window was too small for the window so people could see in... no privacy. a piece of rebar was sticking out of the concrete parking stop, and there was food from some previous occupant in the fridge. But none of that was as bad as the mattress! OMG! I felt every coil from that $50 mattress on my ribs! It was so bad that I got up at 2am to leave.. I stayed here for 2 reasons... other reviews were good and the Wyndham brand... both were misleading. In all fairness, the room was clean.

This was booked on the Wyndham website which represented this as a new property and it had only two posted reviews. Truth: This is a 70 year old motel which has been converted into an apartment complex. Office was very difficult to locate, room was very clean but lacked every expected amenity. Room was incredibly small; no closet, one small chair, basic TV, and too much noise. A nearby room housed a family of 6; other rooms were rented to construction workers who started their cars, trucks, or began motel work around 5:30 in the morning. Although the room was clean, we had a cricket in our small bed, and other crickets elsewhere in the room, No hot water !!! Shower was just a curtain around a tiled area; no soap holder or anything else. Bathroom door could not close and entry door

Positive: "" Negative: The bed was so bad I couldn't even lay on it. Sat up all night. No soap or hand towels and the office closed at 10 so you couldn't contact anyone for an issue.

I gave room and service a 5 because staff was helpful got me all set up took no more than 5 minutes for me when I stayed No problems.. Room was fine it was clean I stayed in the C building. Had fridge stove & sink included you will need mittens for oven if you planning on using it I used it and had to use towels I only had fries in there so no biggie quick & fast.. Everything in the room working.. As far as the location not too bad it’s convenient you have Applebees & Mc Donald’s walking distance.. As far as Noise wasn’t too bad I’m not sure if this is an extended stay hotel or not I could hear the noise from the people at night it wasn’t too rowdy quiet at a decent time. And this was my personal experience when I stayed here during the weekend.. Would be staying again if needed in the fut
