We stayed here as a part of the Lakeside Family Package. We LOVED the community. It was perfect for a little getaway with a couple of toddlers. The room was outdated as we expected based on the pictures, which didn't bother us. My only real complaint would be the cleanliness factor. With the age of the accommodations being considered, as often times things may appear to be dirty, but the carpeting in our room turned our feet black. I cleaned the bathroom floor myself when we checked in because there was alot of hair and didn't appear to be swept or mopped. The tub was dirty and the tub stop was broken so our 1 year old and 3 year old showered during our stay. The room itself was very cramped for a family of 4 with a pack and play. The linens were clean and the beds were very comfortable. T
Staying at this hotel was a nightmare. I arrived with 3 other women for somewhere to stay for a calm, relaxing bachelorette weekend. We were very excited, especially with the decent reviews this place had. I don’t know what other people are seeing but this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at, and I have been to many. First, getting in. We had called the hotel a week prior to our stay to clarify if the reservation we booked included the gate fee or not. We spoke with Cole, and 3 of us were present and heard him say that it was included with the room type we had. Imagine our surprise when we try to get into the grounds and have to spend $80 per person and $40 for parking just to enter the premises. Then, we spent 2 hours just trying to find parking (that we had to spend $40 on at the
My husband and I wanted a little getaway for the night, so we came to Lakeside. The staff was nice and helpful. Walking into the hotel is like going back in time. You can tell they are attempting to do minor updates to some rooms, but it's happening little by little. The rooms make it feel like you're in a dormitory with stiff beds. I wouldn't rate my sleep excellent, but I slept well. Husband on the other hand is picky and didn't enjoy the bed. We think the room was worth the value. ||I did read the other reviews and think it should be noted that you do need to purchase a pass if you come memorial through Labor Day because this is a private community.
We stayed two nights prior to Memorial Day.||They were getting ready for season, but completely unprepared to take care of current clientele overall.||The rooms are very basic with old furniture. The mattress was so worn. I almost rolled out of the bed due to the sagging each night. The air conditioner is so loud that you have to turn it off. But then the room immediately starts to feel musty. There is a ceiling fan, but it is not enough to overcome the lack of ventilation . We were unable to open the windows because there were no screens. As soon as we did, our room was invaded by the mayflies.||The website says that breakfast comes with the room, but that is not true. I was informed that they have no intentions of doing breakfast, but I could go down to the Lakeside Hotel and buy breakfa
I booked 2 rooms for 2 nights and the first night was fine with the rooms being dated but ok. On our 2nd day I got a call from the front desk telling me I was late checking out. I explained we had booked the rooms for this evening. Later he called back and told me he needed one of the rooms we were in because it was pet friendly (we did not have a pet). We were willing to switch rooms to accommodate the other guests so returned to the hotel early from our outing. My son packed up his family of 4 and was given the key to the new room. When they opened the door it was still dirty from a former guest!! They were returned to original room as the kids needed to nap. At that point, the housekeeping supervisor became hostile and sarcastic toward me. Security was also at the front desk. They were
