Hotel Lakeside Dining Room

We've always looked around at this hotel and dining area while visiting Lakeside in the past, we took the plunge this year! The New England Clam Chowder was delicious! Nearly rivals the Lobster Bisque at the Put-in-Bay Boardwalk! My companion DID have the lobster bisque here and stated it is just as delicious. My goodness! I ordered the salamon for dinner... It's enough for TWO people! as was my side of broccoli! I also had a yummy baked potato. The salad was a bit dry and brown- only half was acceptable to eat. My companion ordered beef, said it was a little more "done" than they prefer, but was still delicious. Our meals were a bit pricey, but it was OUR vacation, so we were happy with splurging. Beautiful place, bad service. We went in for brunch today. We stood by the please wait to be seated sign for 3 minutes. No one showed. My boyfriend went to the front desk and they said we could seat ourselves - that’s fine, but in that case why have the sign that says the opposite? We sit down and the server does come immediately. Both my boyfriend and I tell her good morning. She looks at the breakfast menu we had and said “we’re serving lunch, it’s after 11.” No smile, no greeting, nothing. She followed it up with “what are you having to drink.” It seemed like she hated us????? (We came in at 11:10 but so be if eggs and bacon are out by 11) I felt extremely judged by the server - we are a younger couple, but we tip well and were looking for a romantic brunch by the lake. Excellent food this year (summer 2024) with Chef Eric. Some of the best lobster bisque I’ve had. Excellent pecan pancakes and western omelet at breakfast. Mushroom & Swiss burger was huge, juicy, and very tasty. Prices are very reasonable especially for Lakeside. Really enjoyed all our meals here!!

Delicious western omelet with red cubed potatoes and wheat toast....all perfectly prepared with high quality ingredients. We've been Lakeside residents for over 20 years, and we think it's the best breakfast on the peninsula. Well worth heading to Lakeside for the dining experience....and more!

We live in lakeside year round.Have not had an opportunity to go to the hotel lakeside restaurant yet... My folks were over.It was that time of the day, so we decided to give it a try... It act exceeded our expectations... Dad had the lobster bisque bread bowl.My wife and mother had the chef salad, which was very good... I had the chicken bacon Swiss minus Swiss plus American cheese. It was very good, and the fries were terrific... Wish we had gone earlier in the season to enjoy it more often... Not to mention the view of lakeside dock and lake erie kelly's island put in bay is always spectacular...
