The Feathered Hook Lodge

How things have changed: Definitely , a bit of a letdown moment in my fishing with the wife. We paid $ 200 for a day pass and unfortunately we only seen two fish the entire time. So sad. Roughly 11 years ago I was allotted the opportunity to fish these same waters one day with my son and it was an amazing experience with huge large trophy fish swimming everywhere. I used to tell stories to others about the trophy fish in the private wounded warrior sections of this stream. Now it seems to be a very different stream. If you’re looking for action packed private waters. This stream might be too technical for that kind of day.

If you like big crowds, big buildings and fancy dining maybe you should go to NYC. But for a break of fresh air, a lot of horse and buggies, and country living, even if it's just for the weekend, this is the place for you. Tons of activities for kids and adults, including hiking, biking, horseback, riding and of course fishing. And before I forget, the bathrooms are super clean!

This is a awesome lodge to stay at for your trip! We had an amazing time fishing the Allegheny River. 5 stars for the guides as well, they took us on a beautiful float trip with very good fishing and provide all the equipment. Our lodge was right by the fly shop, a great selection of gear. Lodging provides breakfast and has a social area.

Hate to give up my favorite fishing spot, but they are the best. From accommodations, to the food, the guides and most of all the fishing on property. Cannot recommend the Feathered Hook Lodge enough.
