Hemlock Acres Campground

Denise was so kind booking and Brian was so kind when we arrived. We spent our first night RVing at Hemlock Acres and even though it was a short stay, it was a great campground for night 1. Brian was extremely helpful getting us settled in at night! Highly recommend

I have a seasonal spot here. The new owners, husband and wife, Denise and Brian and Denise's dad Butch, are making tremendous improvements including a brand new "honey truck" that pumps your camper tanks clean with latest equipment. Also new private bathroom and showers. This Campground is very private and secluded with local fishing in Penn's creek, and exploring nearby Poe Valley State park. This Campground is close to PSU for football games if interested. This Campground has a pool for cooling off on hot days. It is also pet friendly. There is a local bear that I enjoy rare sightings. However, as in any outdoor PA forest, keep your children close, and follow state park guidelines on bear awareness and cautions. Deer are sometimes seen in camp. Most seasonal guests are older retirees

My Family just got into camping and decided to stay at Hemlock Acres the weekend of July 24th. We loved it so much we had our camper there every weekend since with 2 more weekends scheduled for sure!! The sites are very spacious & woodsy!! The swimming pool is awesome & very clean!! The Owner Rudi is very friendly and always out and about to check and see how things are going!! Highly Recommended!!!

My family and I have been camping here for 40 years. I have lots of great memories from Hemlock Acres. There's beautiful trails, a pool, an arcade, and playground. Over the mountain is a beautiful lake where I spent many years fishing with friends

I love to camp, I love the outdoors, usually I tent camp, but here I splurged for a cabin. There have been other reviews about them, but for the extra price, if you want a cabin, rent white tail or black bear. They are a little dusty, but very cozy, close to the pool and rec center. The trailer lot rents are crazy reasonable if you plan on staying the season, there are bears in the area, so I opted out of tent camping! Also, the honking thing is due to a security system, you don't honk, they'll come looking for whoever doesn't belong. I've added a pic of the bear on the dumpster, it's not a great shot, but I wasn't going closer!
