The Elliott House Inn

Great location but the rooms are small and not well maintained. No daily housekeeping services, pealing paint, tiny bathroom, minimal cooperation from staff. Breakfast was merely coffee or tea from a pump pot. The wine and cheese afternoons were poor and cheaply done. I would not recommend this inn unless location is your only priority.

I scored this room on Hotel Tonight for $160. The best thing about is its location, in historic downtown Charleston next-door to the fabulous restaurant Husk. I arrived too late for the free wine and cheese evening.||The room is simple, no extra bedding no bathrobes fairly good mattress. Bathroom is small but adequate. ||I see that the going price is over $300 a night, and I certainly wouldn't pay that. But for the price I paid it was a good location and starting point for my walk of Charleston. When I checked in they told me there are free bikes available for riding around the city, as well.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Elliott House Inn as a solo tracker. The location was perfect and walkable to everywhere I wanted to go. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The wine and cheese reception each evening was a great way to meet the other guests; there was also coffee available each morning. My only complaint is that my room was on the street side so I was awakened each morning by the noise on the street - so bring ear plugs! I don't know if it would have been any more quiet if I was in a room a bit further from the street. Otherwise, the room was clean and perfect for a long weekend trip. I will definitely be back.

Positive: Greatest location in town, complimentary wine at 5:00pm!, super clean and newly renovated rooms. Negative: The three rooms on the street side gets noisy from delivery and garbage trucks early in the morning

I really enjoyed my stay here. The location couldn’t have been better—it was close to everything I wanted to see and made getting around super easy. Everything was within walking distance around the hotel, food, coffee shops, convenient stores, bars, restaurants, King St, Rainbow row, Museums, the beach. Although it was right in the middle of everything, I didn't hear a sound. It wasn't loud at all. They also provided coffee in the morning, and wine & cheese spread everyday from 5-6pm. Super cute boutique feel hotel. I’d definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking for a great location as their home base.
