From the very beginning, our experience with The Dutchess Inn was nothing short of stellar. Before we even arrived, Megan was incredibly patient and thorough in helping me book our stay, answering questions about the area, surrounding things to do, and most importantly, accommodating our large breed dog. Her care felt genuine, not transactional, and that set the tone immediately. After flying in from the West Coast and then battling rush hour traffic, arriving at The Dutchess Inn felt like a breath of fresh air. I had called ahead to confirm our check-in, and the owner was fantastic, going above and beyond to make sure our stay started smoothly. From reserving a parking space for us to personally helping us secure dinner across the street at Lyonshare, the hospitality was top-notch.||We stayed in the Dutchess Suite for three nights and absolutely loved it. Our stay here was wonderful from the moment we checked in throughout our entire stay. The staff were warm and welcoming, accommodating our every need. Our room was comfortable, cozy and very convenient for us and our dog, Vinny. I took advantage of a spa facial treatment and we both treated ourselves to an amazing hottub experience. The rooftop decks are not to be missed, breathtaking views of the valley, comfortable seating along with fireplaces and plantings. We hope to return to this special oasis.

The hotel was nice and clean and the staff were friendly. The location was great. However, the shower temperature was difficult to adjust..the water would get too hot instead of staying mildly warm. The bathroom sink was outside the bathroom, which was awkward. The room’s central heater was quite loud. The bed was comfortable, but it made a screeching noise whenever you moved. The internet connection was unstable and kept disconnecting. For $300 per night, I felt the price was too high for the overall experience.

The elevator reminds me of my first apartment in Manhattan off Mulberry in 1995; slow enough to remind you that it’s time to take the armor off and pause the monkey brain.
