The room was clean, updated, with everything working (except the large lamp over the bed) and soaps/dishes/towels included. Sheets sketchy, did not use. The cigarettes throughout was absolutely disgusting. A carton a day habit, not just 1 or 2. Especially the main entrance! I turned on the ac unit fan as soon as I entered the room and the entire stay to get fresh air. That didn't work. On my first outing I bought and used an entire can of air fresher and incense. There was no mention of the stairs involved for the stay, but are understandable seeing the actual building, 53 steps to the top room! Luckily my elderly parents didn't come on the trip as I asked. They wouldn't have made past the first entrance. I called the number 3x as I got a check in email saying I was only booked 1 night wit

Overall, the name and the advertising of this location is VERY deceiving. It is NOT a hotel, it's essentially a hostel. There is no staff, servicing, or anything, though it's still the same (if not higher) rates to many local spots. Entering the facility, you're met with an absolute filthy entryway. There are open jugs of spackle and other materials. There are broken doors hanging against the wall. There were flickering lights setting up a horror movie like atmosphere. The floors were disgusting, all setting the stage for a very disappointing stay. The hallways were so tight that as I walked in with a bag on each shoulder, the bags were scrapping against the wall. If you're claustrophobic, you'd have some issues here. The saving grace was that the room was very nice. I enjoyed the clean

Quite a poor experience. Front door did not lock, meaning anyone on the street could gain access to the "secure" hotel building. No staff on site, which was tough when we got back from dinner and the bathroom reeked of cigarette smoke. Absolutely horrible given our problems with asthma. Wifi sucked, and the streaming services on the TV kept buffering because of this. Such a disappointing stay. Only pro was that the folks who ran the email were responsive to our complaints and reimbursed us properly for the issues with the smoke. Not really a fan of their "you can leave now and we will fully refund you" response we received at 10 PM, though.

i was spending a few days in beacon with my partner for personal celebrations; we came across this hotel as it’s on main street and was direct to where we wanted to be. this was one of, if not *the* worst hotel experience i ever had. i got an email for the check in, telling me the door codes and my room code. when we arrived to the location, there was no indication (except for a man who was day-drunk outside) for us to even know we were at the right spot. when we arrived inside the first door, i was disappointed at just how dirty the initial hallway was. there was dirt and dust that looked like it had been caked on for years.. despite that, we walked up the first flight of stairs to head to our room. when we were met with the second key code door, that’s when the overwhelming smell of ciga

I have been left with PTSD after viewing this disgusting property and the taxi ride from train station. The taxi driver refused to take debit card for a three minute taxi ride and then abusing me for not having cash. I thought the taxi driver was being vindictive as I asked where the Hotel was. The signage says Beacon short stay accommodation. While keying in the code at the front door with the porch on a slope, trying to keep my luggage from rolling onto the street, a man barged out the door without a sideways glance or offer to hold the door open. The entrance to this ( you cannot call it a hotel in any way shape or form) was filled with cigarette smoke and smell. Old men coming and going pushing past to go up the stairs. I left my luggage inside the front door and proceeded to walk t
