The Drake Inn is now The Penny Lane, a Lark Hotels property

What a great find!! We rented a room and a two bedroom cottage and both were fantastic! The rooms were clean and well appointed. The property is beautiful, with canal views and lots of comfortable seating areas overlooking the canal. We used the lawn games and the bikes. So much fun! The pool was closed which was fine for us. |The Station Bar and Grill around the corner (walking distance) had amazing food and live music. We would definitely like to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for someplace to stay in Hampton Bays.

The Drake Inn is a real treasure and a very welcome addition to Hampton Bays. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the peaceful beauty of this waterfront property. Nestled along the canal, it offers a calm, picturesque setting that instantly puts you at ease. The rooms are cozy yet modern—carefully designed with clean lines and a fresh look. The beds are extremely comfortable, with linens and towels that are nothing short of 5-star quality. Everything was spotless, and it’s obvious that great care is taken to maintain the property at the highest standards. One of the best parts? My dog was welcome too! It's not always easy to find upscale accommodations that are pet-friendly, and it meant a great deal to have my pup by my side while enjoying a relaxing getaway. The owners are warm

I love this place. I was here with my husband in July. We enjoyed it so much. We found it on VRBO. The cottages are adorable. We stayed in the two bedrooms very comfortable and like I said in my last review, it’s a hidden gem. It’s right on an inlet homes are beautiful. Back yard is beautiful. They have nice outdoor furniture to sit outside corn hole It’s just so relaxing so peaceful. I will be back again soon thank you to the the staff here extremely helpful and very nice.|dune road is right here in the town of Hampton Bay has so many stores and restaurants. Wonderful time by my husband and me.

The apartment is as described. The rooms were clean and modern. |One thing they did not have were wash cloths, so make sure you bring your own.|Also, there was no AC in the main area, just a fan. The AC wall units are only in the bedrooms and they are not adequate enough to cool down the living room space.|Even with our bedroom units at full blast, the thermostat in the living room still read 80 and it was about 74 degrees outside. The summer months must be much hotter. The pool was also not cleaned. There was a bunch of debris at the bottom and floating at the top. |The above is just corrective criticism which can easily be fixed. |Other then that, our stay was pleasant and easy to check in and out.

What a gem! We normally stay in Montauk post Labor Day but frankly over the past several years have been really disappointed with the restaurants there so we were looking for a new place to stay. ||We really enjoyed our stay and the location here. Lots of new food options to explore, extremely close to beach, we enjoyed sitting by the canal in the evening. Also it was great being walking distance to a coffee shop! |The rooms were very clean, modern and nicely decorated. Beds were comfortable. Nice additional touches such as the filtered water, soda, chips and cookies in the room! |My only suggestions which are quite minor, would be that the couch is very uncomfortable! We had 1 rain day and it would have been nice to stay in the room a bit. My only other suggestion would have been that
