The Depot Inn

We stayed two nights at this hotel recently, and what a great experience! Daisy and Jeff, the owners, were friendly and very informative about the small town, specifically timing for local restaurants. In addition, they provide grills for guests and outside tables, as well as in room microwaves and mini fridges. This hotel is in the perfect location to explore the towns history. And let's not forget how clean and newly remodeled the rooms are!

The room was spacious, clean, nice decor and quiet. Very pleasant stay. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this motel and would be happy to stay here again. Dinner and breakfast were within walking distance and everyone was very nice and accommodating. Beautiful area.

Booked two nights for hubby and friends motorcycle trip. DAISY Was AMAZING!! the boys trip was wonderful. They were able to walk to restaurants and bar from room. She was very accommodating for thier arrival. It made my wife job very easy! Thank you!

Sumpter, OR is a quiet, historic small town. A great get-away in the elevations to find a little cooler summer temperatures.|The Depot Inn and it’s on-site owner/operators are so welcoming!! With just (approximately) 13 rooms, it well complements the very small town feel. It is very clean and has every room accommodation needed for a basic motel (no swim pool, no restaurant). I have enjoyed every of my 4 different stays there over the past few years. It gets booked up by groups (quad off-reader’s or snow mobile’s), so call ahead if you want to find a room coupled with your other travels. I highly recommend a visit to The Depot Inn and Sumpter. You’ll enjoy meeting the owners of TDI!!

The owners were super friendly and helpful. My friend is a disabled Vietnam veteran who drinks a lot of coffee, well Jeff the owner brought us a coffee maker and a full can of coffee, we didn't ask him to do this , he did it because he is a good dude. The prices are reasonable and the rooms are nice.
