The Darlington Inn & Cottages

We originally picked this hotel because it was about the only one in Myrtle beach that would allow 20 year olds since most are 21+. We weren’t expecting the amazing service from the manager and beautiful rooms. It was a bit dreary and rainy this week, so I hope to come back down when we can sit out on the balcony and enjoy the view of the beach. The bed was comfortable and felt clean. The place dint have an obnoxious clean bleach smell that most hotels do. It felt like a home away from home and cozy. I would definitely come back here, and recommend this place. We are so glad that we stayed at the Darlington Inn. I love to support family-owned businesses, and this did not disappoint. We were able to stay with our dog which was a plus! the rooms were immaculate, and the beds were comfortable. Although the room had a full kitchenette, we barely used it, however, it was nice and came with stocked utensils and all the appliances were in good working condition. The sounds from outside can be a nuisance, but NOT deal breaker. The owners were friendly, and the pool was clean. The view - for the price was amazing!!! We loved that they could accommodate our reservation and check us in early. We will stay in the future.

We needed a last minute spot to stay due to being in town for a convention. This popped up in our search and I am so so glad it did! We have two Labrador pups and staying in a hotel is always a pain especially because we keep them responsibly crated when not in our room and the crates can get bulky. We rented the Flip Flop cottage this weekend and the living room space for their crates PERFECTLY. It’s a very roomy cottage. It’s right across from beach access. We have parking right in front and plenty of walking space for the pups. They have a strict pet policy but will let people stay who are responsible dog owners. I appreciate that. I also like their no tolerance for smoking/marijuana because we’ve stayed in many places where we had “neighbors” constantly smoking outside our door or near

I inquired about a reservation since I was traveling with 2 dogs and the hotel is advertised as "dog friendly". The man I spoke to said they usually accommodate only one dog. He asked me what breed I had. I told him an English bulldog and a mixed breed. He then asked me if the mix breed had pitbull. My dog does. He said he could not rent a room to me due to insurance because I have an aggressive breed. *sigh*

Classic Myrtle Beach experience. The rooms are spotless, the pool clean, and the staff extremely welcoming. Like a time capsule to the old Myrtle Beach. Even have a cool view of the strip and the pier and beach. Would definitely stop through again.
