I should’ve listened to the comments because this is the least professional rental i ever went to. Check in was earliest at 4pm, we showed up around 545 to no one working on site. We called the number that was left at the front desk to find out it’s for a third party that handles the booking for them. So you don’t even get to see a worker nor talk to anyone. Had us on hold for nearly an hour for someone to finally help us which turned out to be me getting access to go behind the security desk to get my own key from there. I had access to all the keys and security cameras which i think is risky to allow anyone access to that. We eventually got a text from who i think was the landlord around 2-3 am seeing if we got access. Pretty unbelievable. The rooms were clean and nice but had a strange
A Seaside Haven at The Cove in Ocean City, NJ In Ocean City, NJ, where the ocean breeze carries dreams of summer, The Cove is a renovated gem that stole my heart during my week-long stay. Perfect for hip young travelers, middle-aged couples, or those enjoying their golden years, this hotel blends modern comfort with seaside charm, making every moment unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, The Cove felt like a warm embrace. Free off-street parking—a rare treat in beach towns—made settling in effortless. Check-in was smooth, with friendly staff who made me feel instantly welcome, and checkout was just as seamless, leaving more time for beachside bliss. The rooms were spotless, with plush bedding and modern touches that screamed thoughtful renovation while keeping that cozy, coastal vibe
Got it — sounds like you want to write a review that’s honest but also clear and structured. Here’s a polished version of your experience that captures both the positives and frustrations: ⸻ Review Draft My stay at The Cove was just okay. Check-in was frustrating — I spent over an hour at the desk with Gabe, who explained that although I booked through Booking.com, the reservation had gone through Expedia, which created issues. I had reserved a room with two beds, but was told the reservation only showed one queen bed for four people. The owner, Jay C., was kind enough to provide a cot (which he mentioned normally costs $50/day). The room wasn’t large enough to fit two cots, so one of my children had to make do. I asked if there was space at their sister property, The Sagamore, but was
Sad that the front door lock had been broken. Reported via text to the owner/office no response. Asked for blanket but got no response. No one at front desk, and had to help another guest bring her luggage up to the first floor from street level, as no handicap ramp in front. Cove is more like a hostel than a hotel and certainly not worth the price!
Had a great long weekend stay at The Cove. Rooms were clean and comfortable, the pool was a perfect bonus, and free parking made things easy. The staff were super friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. Would definitely stay again! Dan and Gloria
