The Colonial Motel

This is not a 5-star resort but I am giving it a 5-star rating for a few reasons: Excellent customer service and staff, perfect location for doing anything in the North Conway/White Mountains areas, rooms are very clean and the beds are really comfortable. We like easy access to our room and ease of communication with the motel staff. These are all things that describe Colonial Motel. The prices are very reasonable and the staff is always there to help if there are any issues. A big shout out to Manager Ebner who goes out of his way to make his guests happy. We have stayed here many times and will certainly stay again. I highly recommend Colonial Motel.

Positive: The price. The room was clean, beds were clean. Location was perfect. The pool was awesome to have. The mini fridge and microwave were great. Negative: I wish they could plant some perennial flowers for a little bit of color but that's a petty request. Otherwise it was a great hotel, great price

I have known about this motel for decades and assumed by the reviews that it had been remodeled or renovated or at best…cleaned! We walked in to the room and I almost cried. There were stains on the furniture, stains on the sheets and it was just not clean at all. We ended up not even unpacking and leaving to find another place to stay. We had to forfeit our money but it was worth it to not have to sleep in that room or shower in the bathroom.

This was the perfect spot for a quick overnight ski trip. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the area was safe and quiet. Couldn’t ask for anything else. I will definitely stay here again on future ski trips.

We came here after our dog died of cancer and it was unbearable to be home. We just wanted one night away. We didn't have high expectations, we just wanted a place to lay our heads that was far away from home. When we opened the door we noticed one of the locks was broken, completely missing the locking arm. Immediately when we got into the room we were punched in the face with a smell like 30 of the most horrible smelling colognes you've ever smelled all mixed together. We sat there for no more than 20 minutes with our shirts pulled up over our noses, with the door and window open, hoping the smell would dissipate. It seemed to be getting stronger, like it was being pumped from the vents. My boyfriend jokingly asked if I had some fish to microwave because it would make the room smell bett
