The Colonial Inn

The friendly and helpful staff went above and beyond to make our stay truly special. The property is beautiful and in an excellent location. It was just a short walk to shops, great restaurants, and the beautiful Marginal Way. The main building had wonderful charm, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The free breakfast was another great perk of the stay. We will definitely be back!

Stayed for a quick stay. Location walking distance to downtown or beach. Also close to the Marginal way walk which was beautiful. Reminded us of the Cliff walk in Newport. Rooms were dated and had a lousy view but clean. Really didn't interact with staff but check in and out was fine. Loved the outdoor hot tub and pool is heated. Also featured a Continental breakfast. It was the location we liked best.

We found the inn to be extremely charming, great value for this time of year. Great location! Our room was very clean and comfortable, however, the heating unit was quite noisy. I would suggest there be user manuals for the use of the heating unit, as it is not intuitive. The shower was large and clean,but leaks on the floor. My husband thought the doors may be installed backwards. Breakfast was just ok, I found the mix of strawberries and blueberries (one of my favorites) was borderline past peak...some downright mushy. The staff at the desk was fantastic....extremely helpful and personable...Rebekkah, I believe. All in all, A good experience!

Positive: Location, comfortable beds Negative: Wife tripped on uneven brick pathway by pool, no real sitting area for breakfast - everyone using lobby seats

We had a great room with an ocean view.||The hotel was beautiful, and the staff was extremely efficient and friendly. ||The location was perfect, we parked our car when we arrived and never needed to ||use it ! We really enjoyed being able to walk everywhere along the marginal way, Perkins Cove, and downtown. The only negative was that our AC wasn’t working and we needed to have the windows open but because it was so windy the shades flat noisy against the windows all night long. Breakfast was just average
