The Cedar Lodge

Needed a place to stay after a concert, we stayed in a creek side room. It was literally at the end of the cmac parking lot which was a great location. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. There's a kitchen area fully equipped with stove, sink and full sized refrigerator. (however you must bring your own cooking supplies and utensils.) cons: thin walls and basic lowgrade cable tv. nice if you just need a place to eat & sleep.

Good place to park for concerts! Being exact cash $30 for Benson Boone. Not staying. Just parking.

When we arrived we faced a challenge finding the office, which is another motel nearby called the Finger Lakes Lodge. There is no sign at the cedar Lodge to tell you this, so it took some hunting to find the office. Otherwise, this place met our basic criteria. There was a clean, comfortable bed and clean bathroom. The kitchen was more than we expected with a full stove and oven, sink and large fridge, but no utensils. The AC worked very well. Having said this, they offered little else. When we arrived, there was no TP nor any hangers in the "closet." There were no bedspreads, not all lightbulbs worked and one lampshade, in particular, was very dirty. We were in town for a Tragically Hip show at CMAC. You seriously can not beat the location if you are going to a show. Soundcheck sounded amazing from my open window. You have to check in at the Finger Lakes Inn and then drive or walk over to the Cedar Lodge which is extremely close so it wasn't that big of a deal. There seemed to be many year round student age residents. The atmosphere was pretty cool. With the hotel just about sold out for the night the patrons were mostly Tragically Hip fans. Happy hour involved a lot of fans in the courtyard area and some of us came back together after the show. The actual room needs a lot of updating. To be fair it was clean. I can't entirely blame the ants crawling on the wall above the air conditioning unit on the Cedar Lodge, not entirely

In the back. Nice quiet room. very comfortable bed. Even had a kitchen if we wanted to cook. Loved it. Would do again. Perfect spot to HQ in for various brewery visits. Check-in and Check out was easy and the clerk was very helpful about local events.
