The Carter Inn

My husband and I traveled from SW Florida to explore Wyoming with two of our close friends from Wisconsin. One of our stops was The Carter Inn in Ten Sleep, WY, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The town itself was incredibly charming, and our stay was equally wonderful. Our hosts, Kenny and Christa, were warm, welcoming, and truly hospitable. Each morning they prepared a delicious homemade breakfast—eggs, sausage, fresh breads, jams, and an assortment of baked treats. We loved sitting with them, sharing stories, and enjoying their company. The rooms were spotless, cozy, and very comfortable. We will absolutely be returning soon. Highly recommend this Ten Sleep gem!

Our expectations were blown out of the water by The Carter Inn. Hospitality could not have been more extraordinary. Greeted with welcoming smiles and warm cookies, everything was readied for our stay. Rooms were super clean and not in the coldly sterile way, but tidy and spotless. Room had a microwave and a small fride... with complimentary chocolates! Towels were fluffy and thick; robes and slippers were hanging ready to use. Herbal soap was handmade by a local entrepreneur. Sheets were buttery soft, and the mattresses were an ideal firmness. We slept soundly, the minute our heads hit the pillow. Breakfast was a full spread, with something for everyone's taste... with a loaf of homemade bread. Yard was set up with a picnic table, badminton set, and other outdoor games. Price was VE

Excellent place to stay in adorable Ten Sleep! Man, what a great spot with a beautifully appointed room and lovely touches for the guests. We appreciate it all so much (having been in some pretty crappy places) so this was a real delight. The hosts Christa and Kenny are so friendly and kind, and they made us an amazing homemade breakfast. Such a pleasure. I can hardly wait to come back or to send others there! I can't think of one thing that I would change, so keep up the good work. We loved it.

We stayed here for three nights. The (very clean) rooms were cozy and adorned in mountain decor. They were equipped with everything we needed, such as a fan, fridge, and microwave, and also included some extra treats, such as a robe, slippers, chocolates. The hosts are very friendly and their baked goods are top notch - the breads and cookies are not to be missed! The town is small, so you are within a couple of blocks of dining and gas.

I have never been so sad to come back from a vacation. Stayed here 9 nights, and wasn't home sick at all. Kenny and Christa are wonderful, and make you feel like family. Each day there is a homemade breakfast with real food that is obviously made with love and is quality that you can't purchase. Fresh fruits, jams, breads, pastries, eggs, protein, and good coffee! Each morning around the breakfast table I would stay and enjoy conversation with rock climbers, motorcycle riders, diggers, and just good people passing through town on their way to the next location. The rooms were clean and comfortable with a good bed and good air conditioning unit. The provided soaps were good too. Overall this is the best hotel experience I have ever had. It truly felt like I was staying with family. The comf
