Meadowlark Lake Lodge

They way over charge. Had a lot of family and friends there for Son’s Wedding, some rented cabins some stayed in there Campers, we was charged $350 just to put our camper on a camp site with no electricity or water, said for use of the bath house. We had our holding tanks full so didn’t need there bath house. The hill going down to camp spots was so bad with big rocks and wash outs made it rough going in and coming out, had to take a run at it or we get stuck start spinning out so would have to back down and try again, for the price they charge they really should do something with that road. Made it even harder to pull our trailer back up that hill to get out. Have to haul out your trash they have nothing to put trash in. Nothing anywhere , we was there 4 days and nowhere to put the trash.

My family wanted to do something different for dinner, so we drove to the lodge. Upon arrival, we were informed by the waitress that they were only offering the lunch menu. The menu was a dismal selection of only about four items. After ordering five waters, one cheeseburger with fries, chicken salad, chicken-fried steak, two pies, and a cookie, our total came to $120. With a tip! The food was garbage and cold: second try and last attempt. The empty parking lot should have made our decision for us!

We were genuinely excited to stay at this lake lodge, hoping for a memorable weekend with the kind of hospitality and amenities that typically come with such a setting. Unfortunately, the reality fell short in several key areas. From the moment we arrived, the staff interactions were noticeably strained. Rather than feeling welcomed, we often felt like an inconvenience. Requests were met with curt responses, and there was a general lack of warmth or professionalism throughout our stay. The pricing structure also raised concerns. There seemed to be extra charges for nearly everything, including basic services that are usually standard at similar lodges. Stayed in the lakeside cabins. These are cabins and not the Hyatt. Just what we wanted. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable and the staff very helpful, attentive & friendly. We were looking for some down time and this was the place. What a beautiful setting.

The ONE lady working the front desk, and the bar, was very nice. We got our door code and went to our room. Absolutely filthy rooms! Dead moths all over the floors. Moved the night stand to plug in CPAP machine and it looks like it hasn't been cleaned for years! Only good thing I have to say about the place, is the view is gorgeous, and the $5 cookie at check-in was delicious. Otherwise, this place needs A LOT of work, and even more cleaning! I wish I would have taken pictures to post, but I didn't have time.
