The Canyon Motel & RV Park

Such a unique and cute spot. I stayed in the train car for two days and it was perfect for me as a solo traveler. Very close to lots of things to see and do (especially hiking for me). Very close to downtown Williams, as well, so that was nice and convenient. The woman at the front office was great and, overall, just a wonderful experience! Will definitely be staying here again next time I’m driving through!

Positive: Very unique destination; first time I've stayed in a converted rail car. While this place does not have great amenities, it will always be remembered fondly because it is so different from a typical road-trip hotel/motel. Negative: ""

Where do I start. To be fair, we only paid $59. But this place is a dump. Hole in the walls, which are so thin we could hear everything spoken in the adjoining room, and the adjoining room on the other side of that. There were literally boogers wiped on the walls. And the staff didn't even clean that up. ||The floors were dirty. I had to wipe my feet off before I put my socks on. But at least the bed sheets were clean.||The door had such big gaps around it that I could easily see light. Lord knows what was crawling through that.||We never had a chance to use the pool as there was a birthday party going on, and the pool was filled with kids and balloons. But at least the kids had fun.||They only thing I can guess is that the good reviews come from the RV campers. The cabins are awful. When

We stayed in one of their cabin rooms last night. Cabin #3 to be exact. The door to the room would stick and you had to push the door or pull hard to open it. Then there was no weather stripping around the bottom of the door so the cold air would blow through there. The bed was comfortable but made a weird metal banging noise when you turned over in bed. Not sure.what that was. There was also no mattress pad on the mattress, just a flat sheet, not a fitted sheet. The next morning I turned on the shower to take a shower and the water barely trickled oit of the shower head. I don't think that shower head has been changed in years as it was all corroded with water minerals. Please check your shower heads and change them. It was really bad. The staff was very kind and accommodating.

I had an amazing experience here. The office receptionist was incredibly accommodating and helped us get settled warmly into our room. Our teen daughters, 14 and 17 can be incredibly picky, but they loved the bunk beds and rustic feeling. I loved listening to them laugh, while my husband and I enjoyed the front part of the caboose and original signs. For some crazy reason, and after researching online, I did not think the caboose/railcar had a shower/tub. They do, but I had packed towels thinking we’d get to experience the bath house as a bonus, ha. For the price, you absolutely can not beat this place! I loved great experiences and this park offered just that. Nice, calm, relaxing time and a location that I’d love to visit again in the future.
