The Canterbury Inn

We stayed at the Canterbury Inn in Ocean Shores for two nights to celebrate my birthday, and it turned out to be a wonderful little getaway. The place was clean, quiet, and very welcoming. The inn is a converted apartment/condo building turned motel, which gives it a cozy, homey feel rather than a typical hotel vibe. Our unit was tastefully decorated with beach-themed décor, which really added to the coastal atmosphere. The location is fantastic—right downtown and waterfront—and the walk to the beach is a fun little adventure through a maze of shoreline, nature, and water paths (about a quarter mile). Nice place to stay in Ocean Shores. Close to businesses and the beach. Loved driving on the beach and pulling out right by the hotel parking lot. Great food nearby, too!

Best place to stay in Ocean Shores! Staff is friendly, rooms are always clean and its super close to town. We ONLY stay here! We have been coming here exclusively for over twenty five years. We have fed deer from the lobby back door, we can walk to town center from the hotel and the rooms are so big. There is a stove, dishwasher in each kitchenette, a dining room and actual living rooms! So spacious and so freaking clean. Don't bother staying anywhere else...you are not saving money by getting a free breakfast, make your own breakfast. It's cleaner and it will taste better at the Canterbury Inn. The pool is nice,warmish and large until there is alot of people in it and then its just plain weird. That's happened. There is a hottub, it is also nice..perfect for three people. We love

The staff was very friendly and helpful. My key stopped working all 3 days, and they fixed it quickly each time. The TV in the fitness room (a very small room with one treadmill, one peloton and a weight bench) stopped working, which could be why the next morning a sign said it was closed. The heater needed to be turned off and on again a few times to work. One should know the trail to the beach is under water for months in the winter, but other access is only a block or 2 away. Also should be known that even the view rooms have a limited view bc the ocean is at least 1/4 mile away over a lot of tall shrubbery. I suspect in the summer when it’s full, it might feel small with kids and dogs everywhere, but in the winter it was nice. Pool and hot tub both clean and nice. All in all good value

Cleanest room I've ever stayed at. I've stayed at many 5 star hotels around the world and while they dazzle, they don't always offer substance as minor amenities such as flatware, kettles, and sometimes even a coffee machine. This room on the other hand truly felt close to home as everything was spotless and well taken care of. While it doesn't have fancy views of the city, motorized curtains, or bidets it delivers in amenities and cleanliness.
