The Cabins at Old Rag

The cabins are absolutely perfect. They are the best to get away and rest, connect and get some fresh air. I have been once with my husband, we had such a great time that I went back for a girls trip. Looking forward to going back with another family and the kids.

Our girls’ trip to The Cabins at Old Rag was absolutely perfect. The cabins are beautiful, cozy, and thoughtfully designed, making them the ideal place to relax after a day of hiking. Everything was clean, comfortable, and had such a peaceful mountain feel. The location could not be better if you love the outdoors. The hikes nearby are stunning, with incredible views and so many great trails to explore. After spending the day outside, coming back to the cabin to unwind with friends was the perfect way to end the day. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway with gorgeous scenery and amazing hiking, this is the place. We had the best girls’ trip and cannot wait to come back!

We booked this stay for a Fall girls weekend and it did not disappoint! The surrounding area is beautiful, as well as the property that the cabins sit on. The cabins were very clean and ready for our stay! The bed in loft was comfortable and the temperature inside was great too. We enjoyed using the fire pits outside on the crisp evenings. We hiked the nearby at Old Rag Mountain and also enjoyed some shopping and dinner in nearby Sperryville (host gave us these suggestions!). The host was friendly and easy to communicate with. I would definitely book the cabins again!

We had a great stay at this cozy cabin! The location is perfect—close enough to town and Old Rag for hiking, but still quiet and secluded so it really feels like a peaceful getaway. The cabin was incredibly clean and tidy, and everything was well cared for and comfortable. The owner was also wonderful—very quick to reply, happy to accommodate requests, and provided great recommendations for things to do in the area. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a relaxing cabin stay with easy access to town and hiking!

My husband and I were looking to soak in the breathtaking VA landscape and selected the Cabins at Old Rag. Our experience was amazing. Our cabin was perfectly appointed enabling us to relax and enjoy. Just a short drive to Old Rag with great hiking and plenty of photo ops. We are looking forward to returning.
