The Bayview Motel

Rooms were clean and well maintained. Check in process was simple. Service was great. The only downside was the mattress...it was uncomfortable and any amenities required a least a 5 min drive.

My five-star review is based on price point and what is offered. What you're getting is a clean, safe, small, motel experience with a few extra perks. Admittedly, I don't stay in motels much but this one is great. I had a minor emergency where I accidentally let the walk-in shower overflow leading to water cascading everywhere. This happened because the shower curtain was a little bit long and obstructed the drain.. and since I was mindlessly scrolling outside of the shower, I didn't notice at first I called the front desk, which is actually a service called hometown hospitality.. and they directed me to an unmanned front desk type of area, they gave me a code for a special closet where I accessed all the towels and blankets and cosmetics that I would need. We had a great stay at the Bayview! The room was nice and clean and had everything we needed. The fully automated lobby was pretty cool and we were able to get anything we needed, such as extra towels, spoons, and a plunger. We would love to stay here again!

This is a basic motel with attentive staff doing their best to make an otherwise nondescript place more. Upside: accommodating staff, comfortable beds, good shower pressure, nice river pathway across the road. Downside: badly stained carpet needs replacement, some general repairs that should be addressed before a guest arrives, no view. That said, the management did their best to attend to things asap and compensate for what was lacking. So, ok for an overnight stay en route.
