Texarkana KOA Journey

I rented a spot for my camper for 9 months, and the location was perfect! It was very close to my job, and was close to all of the shopping centers and grocery stores and bank. The staff, including Jaimie and Amy are excellent at their jobs as well as friendly. They are very attentive, and when I had one problem, they attended to it. The site is very safe as well! It has a lot of trees and is well maintained.

We have stayed here before, it’s a good stopping point on our way to Texas. For one night. Check in was easy, very friendly staff. They have a camp store, ice, soda, firewood… Ice cream, and fresh eggs. There is a small art display as well. The campsite is pretty big and laid out nicely. There is a pool and a bathhouse, laundry , playground and they have cabins as well, a small dog park. The WiFi was good. It is located right on the interstate, which was convenient. There is a few delivery services , door dash.., if don’t want to cook. There is also nice Bbq place across the street as your turning in access road, but to get back to it you have to get Back on interstate and make you turn, we found a place that delivered and it was good. Would recommend This Koa it seemed safe.

Staff were attentive and helpful. Access to the park was “tight” when pulling in and an extremely busy on-ramp situation when exiting. The Interstate noise was quite prominent; we used a white noise machine at night so our sleep was not impacted. It is an older site but kept pristine. Initially, the laundry facility was inaccessible due to a plumbing problem but it was corrected as quickly as possible. The staff were kindly apologizing for the minor inconvenience. The washer/dryer units were coin operated and the office had rolls of quarters for purchase.

Driveway is one of the tightest access KOAs we have visited. Guy at the front desk was overly micro-managing and seemed to be inconvenienced by customers. When our dog accidentally got off leash for a second, he drove out of his way to tell us the cops would ticket us for having our dog off leash (even though they wouldn’t drive around private property unless they were called by him). Definitely did not feel welcome here and will not return.

My grandfather moved there in 97. Sense the new managers have taken over it has went down hill bad. They dont take care of the yard like the contract says. They are very rude and they took it upon thierselves to take my sons cat because it was outside and dumped it somewhere. They won't tell us where so we can get the cat back. Just because it got left outside. The neighbor told me they pulled it by the tail amd shoved it in there car and took off. Didn't tell us anything. They only way we knew is because someone seen them do this. We r moving and I dont recommend anyone staying there. Specially if u have pets!!!
