Texaco Bungalow

My husband and I spent our 3rd anniversary at the Texaco bungalow it was so neat really enjoyed our time here! Dalton and Brittany were amazing host!!

We’ve been going to Eureka Springs for years and love to try new quirky places. This trip we stayed at the Texaco Bungalette (smaller unit next to the Bungalow.) Very cute, nicely decorated, parking right in front of our door. Nice location up on top of ridge. Beautiful walks through unique neighborhoods. If you want to walk to the main shopping area, be aware that you will go down a really steep hill (and back up again. ) It is on the trolley route, though. Loved staying here. Could use a little updating ( old towels, Chipped cups, difficult doorknob etc). Seems like the company that manages a lot of these properties cuts corners and lets things go a little. But all in all, very nice and good value. Would stay again.

For the price, The Texaco Bungalow was a great place for my husband and I to stay for our anniversary. It is unique, comfy and the bedroom is very spacious! I would not complain about the bathroom if it was simply small and outdated but it needs actual work. But really who cares? Overall it felt clean and was great for the price! Warning: the walk to town is easy and scenic, the walk back is extremely hilly! After walking it once, we took a cab back. You can park in town for $5 all day but you have to arrive pretty darn early, and we weren't there during what is considered busy season.

We love this place! We have stayed here (or in the bungalettee) now 3 times. We've watched it deteriorate though. For $149 a night I'd like to be able to stand on the bathroom floor without fear of falling through. There was literally about a 12x8 inch piece of the floor by the toilet the was hanging by the linoleum. The deck needs work and has nails popping up so you catch your pants or trip over it. The little half gate between the eating area and kitchen has fallen off and is just sitting on the floor. The microwave only works on the vegetable cook setting. The mini blinds and shades don't work. There is mold in the shower. Lamps and light switches don't work. The furniture has serious stains and just needs to be replaced. The bedding is worn and it needs to be laundered(at minimum) or

My wife & I always adored this cute & unique former Texaco gas station every time we visited Eureka Springs. We vowed to stay here one day. So, last Nov 2014 we made a reservation. We liked the ease of parking & walking straight into the place. The brick floor was unusual in the living room. The kitchen was cute & well stocked. There was a small table for eating. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom left a lot to be desired-on the small side. ||We visited when the weather was rather cool in the day & cold at night. The living room with the windows all around was cold. It is an old building & that brick floor gets cold. There was a small electric fireplace, but it did not put out enough heat for that room.
